Objects of expression — bridging art with the functionality of the everyday
At the core of each piece is a commitment to presence—a tactile conversation with the moment. The work emerges not from a fixed plan, but from an openness to what unfolds through touch, intuition, and chance. Clay, with its immediacy and memory, becomes a medium through which spontaneity is not only allowed, but essential.
Imperfection is not corrected; it is embraced. Each form bears the traces of its making—gestures, slips, adjustments—marking time and attention. These objects do not strive for polish or perfection, but for honesty. They are records of responsiveness, where every curve, dent, and glaze variation reflects a decision made in real time.
In this practice, utility and expression coexist. The resulting works invite daily use while also holding space for reflection—for the humor, tenderness, and unpredictability of being alive. All work is made in NYC by artist Veda Sun.
